Fright-Rags digs up new merch from two of the most beloved zombie films of all time – Dan O’Bannon’s The Return of the Living Dead and George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead – along with an official t-shirt for genre favorite Barbara Crampton.
Tarman™ has awoken, out of his stasis canister and in to your heart, and with him an officially licensed collection from Creepy Co. for everyone’s favorite brain-loving, pile of mush!
“Send… more… merch.”
Back from the grave and ready to party, Fright-Rags’ The Return of the Living Dead collection is sure to satisfy your hunger for more brains. Alien and Aliens are two drastically different beasts, but both films are among the most revered in the sci-fi horror realm. Fright-Rags also has six t-shirts to choose from!
Plus, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers, Fright-Rags has reprinted Justin Osbourn’s design for the slasher sequel.
“You think this is a fucking costume? This is a way of life!”
Creepy Company’s retro-inspired t-shirt is a loving homage to the cult spoof staple of the late 1980s, Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout. Let’s gather ’round the fire and teach some zombies some new stretches in this red unisex tee, and officially licensed enamel pins!
“SEE! Linnea shape up the living dead through zombiecise!”
“They’re back from the grave and ready to party!”
The attempt to combine humor and horror is a dicey proposition at best, which makes this film all the more extraordinary. The Return of the Living Dead weaves the two genre together seamlessly, each one complimenting the other. The screenplay and cast are perfect, with the always reliable Clu Gallagher holding the action together. A group of attractive young people plays their roles with a combination of believable finesse, terror and hormonal fever interspersed with slapstick style hysteria. Any movie with Linnea Quigley as part of the cast certainly is headed in the right direction.
