Horror apparel company Fright-Rags continues to expand its brand with new Trick ‘r Treat and Ghostbusters mini masks, Slashback Video and Shock Waves t-shirts, and long sleeve shirts from cult horror classics.
The Blair Witch Project’s 20th anniversary is this weekend, and Fright-Rags is honoring the occasion with its first collection of apparel from the film. The company also has new tees from Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and Splatter University.
“I’m afraid to close my eyes, I’m afraid to open them.”
The Blair Witch Project is ‘The Cardiff Giant’ of modern horror films. The film employed the now common trope of “found footage” to give an authentic and haunting atmosphere to the story. The movie was also one of the first to use the internet to reinforce the found footage concept, going so far as to hire actors to pose as policemen for interviews and post pictures of artifacts found at the crime scene.
