From the mind of David Jenkins comes Gardens, Galaxies and Goosebumps; a collection of short stories that has it all; fantasy, sci-fi and horror, in the garden, in the galaxy and beyond.
Fright-Rags has summoned all-new apparel from Hammer, The Omen, and Happy Death Day. Not recommended for people of nervous disposition! You have been warned.
“Those who foretold it are dead. Those who can stop it are in grave danger.”
This Japanese inspired sci-fi tee from The Twilight Zone is available for pre-order now – for 24 hours only!
“You’re traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead – your next stop, the Twilight Zone!”
Let me preface this review by saying that I’m a huge fan of anthology films. Films like Twilight Zone: The Movie, Creepshow, and Tales from the Darkside were among some of my favorites as a kid. Sure, there are some stinkers out there, but they always have at least one gem, one shining moment hidden among the schlock, somewhere.
Vault of Terror II: The Undead was a pretty fun ride from start to finish. We get five short films, given to us as a part of a wrap-around horror story.
“Witness six tales… Each one more horrifying than the last!”
For many, the 1980s were all about horror movies, VHS tapes, comic books, and trading cards. Fright-Rags manages to pay tribute to all of these nostalgic elements with its new collections for George A. Romero’s Creepshow and Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead.
“From the masters of terror and the macabre…”
Liverpool Horror Club (LHC) and Two-Headed Snake Entertainment presented their second The Dead of Night Film Festival – this time in Liverpool – and like all LHC events there was a great club atmosphere where everyone is friendly, and you can chat to the people involved in the festival and the films.
“Liverpool’s only horror film festival!”
With the third and final blood-splattered season, Ash vs Evil Dead has closed the book of the dead on Ash Williams and his fight against the deadites! While it’s sad to see the show come to an end, The Evil Dead lives on with Fright-Rags’ Ash vs Evil Dead collection.
Fright-Rags have also released a Creepshow 2 collection featuring five t-shirts and four enamel pins, and a Killer Klowns from Outer Space collection featuring four t-shirts and three ringer tees in custom colors.
“You know you could, uh, take off your gun… Put it over there with your chainsaw limb.”
It’s a while since we’ve seen a cinematic anthology of horror tales, but Ghost Stories revives that tradition with a trio of supernatural stories in the style of English portmanteau movies of the 1960s and the Ealing classic Dead of Night. The film’s writer-directors Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson have adapted Ghost Stories from their successful stage show. (Nyman is an actor, writer and magician who has devised productions for Derren Brown; Jeremy Dyson is actor, writer and co-creator of The League of Gentlemen) Their film offers a tribute to an array of old-school horror tropes.
“We have to be very careful what we choose to believe.”
Last year Waxwork Comics released their debut comic book series, House of Waxwork; a rousing horror-anthology series packed with macabre tales of ghouls, ghosts, witchcraft, the occult, the living dead, and revenge! Now Waxwork Comics has released the highly anticipated second issue…
“Don’t feed these books and records after midnight.”
For all you “cockadoodie” Stephen King fans, there’s nothing to worry about. Shh darlings, trust us… Fright-Rags have teamed with artist Robert Giusti to bring the Misery dust jacket from the 1987 novel to t-shirts and hoodies. Fright-Rags’ Creepshow collection is the frosting on the cake. It ain’t meteor shit, you lunkhead!
“Oh, my goodness! Heavens to Betsy!”
Michael Dougherty’s horror anthology is a Halloween classic that no fan should miss. The film is an anthology composed of four interconnected tales that are all brilliantly shot and suitably scary.
The fact that this film is not derivative in any manner is a near miracle. Each story has a life of its own and fits together seamlessly with the next. The scares, dark comedy and bloody violence are well balanced and I can see watching Trick ‘r Treat each Halloween…
“If you don’t follow the rules tonight, you won’t live to see tomorrow.”
