On 12th April, The Head Hunter comes to Blu-ray from 101 Films. On the outskirts of a kingdom, in the shadows of a looming castle, a quiet but fierce medieval warrior protects the realm from monsters. The gruesome collection of trophy heads on the wall of his cabin is missing only one – the monster that killed his daughter. He travels wild expanses on horseback, driven by a thirst for revenge. When his chance for vengeance arrives, it’s in a way far more horrifying than he ever imagined.
“Grief. Anger. Vengeance.”
Jim Jarmusch’s crypto-vampire love story film, Only Lovers Left Alive won the 2013 Cannes award for best soundtrack. The soundtrack, predominantly by Dutch lutenist Jozef Van Wissem and SQÜRL, also features Zola Jesus, Yasmin Hamdan and Madeline Follin.
“Cool people never die.”
Funny, heartfelt, and unconventional are three words that sum up the Irish horror comedy Extra Ordinary. Rose Dooley reluctantly has to use her talents in talking to ghosts (and sending them to the afterlife) after Christian Winter, a one-hit-wonder rock star makes a deal with the devil to be on top again.
Despite its dark subject matter, there isn’t anything really scary about this film, and if it wasn’t for the language and sexual content, it could be rated 12. The humour throughout most of the film is more silly than laugh-out-loud. Each character has their own quirky trait, like Rose and her awkwardness.
“Putting the normal in paranormal.”

Beast Within will be available 23rd February on DVD from Stonecutter Media, following a smash success as a cable and digital release in the fall. Morana shared directing duties with Chris Green.
