From the sick minds behind Bloodwash – Black Eyed Priest (aka Jordan King) and Henry Hoare – comes their latest experiment in terror. Inspired by the Italian zombie flicks from Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei, Night at the Gates of Hell promises to be a blood-dripping, neon-soaked, flesh-rotting experience.
Living alone after his wife’s recent passing, David’s very normal life is disrupted when a zombie outbreak ravages the city. Through first-person, survival horror gameplay, Night at the Gates of Hell aims to fully immerse the player inside the walking corpse-infested world of Euro 1970/80s Italian cinema.
Escape by solving puzzles, collecting weapons, encountering other survivors, gathering resources/information, and fighting the undead brain-eaters roaming the streets – which can only be taken down with a shot directly to the head!
Zombie bites are deadly, but luckily, limited-use knives are scattered around the city. When grabbed by the undead, the player can plunge a knife into their faces and make their escape. Run out of knives however and the next bite’s game over.
Utilizing PS1-era low-poly graphics, full voice acting, and a 1970s-inspired disco soundtrack, players will encounter 85 unique zombie models (you won’t encounter the same zombie twice!) and all the gore you’ve come to expect from Puppet Combo and Torture Star Video!
Torture Star Video’s Night at the Gates of Hell is available now on Steam and itch.io
