“Greetings from Tromaville!”
Troma Entertainment and writer/director Fernando Alle’s festival hit Mutant Blast is set to make it’s exclusive North American premiere in Los Angeles with Lloyd Kaufman, president of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger in attendance, along with Mr. Alle and more special guests!
Have you ever met a romantic, yet violent, giant French-speaking lobster? Maria, a fan-toxic, ferocious, fearless (and super hot) female soldier, and TS-347, a man with superhuman strength, are being pursued by a ruthless military cell responsible for horrific science experiments that have resulted in a zombie apocalypse. As they struggle to avoid total annihilation, they meet Pedro, a slacker with few ambitions and the trio is forced to band together as humanity’s only hope for survival in a world that’s on the brink of becoming a nuclear wasteland!
With impressive, fan-toxic, practical and special effects, along with body horror that would make David Cronenberg smile, Mutant Blast features the first onscreen bromance between a giant, deformed rat and humongous, mutant lobster-man. Mutant Blast is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting and wildest films Troma has ever released!
Mutant Blast, Fernando Alle and Troma’s answer to the award-winning Parasite, will first hit North American cinemas (fully uncensored and completely subtitled) on Wednesday, March 11th at 7:00 PM at LAEMMLE NoHo, located at 5240 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, California.
Lloyd Kaufman and Fernando Alle (Banana Motherfucker, Papa Wrestling) will be in attendance for a special Q&A moderated by Troma alum and fan favorite, Trent Haaga (Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV, 68 Kill).
Brand new merch will also be available, including skate decks, enamel pins, Super 7 ReAction Figures, iron-on patches and the newest Blu-ray releases from Troma Entertainment: Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High AKA Vol. 2 and Terror Firmer: 20th Anniversary Edition!
Following the Wednesday premiere, Mr. Alle will also be in attendance for Mutant Blast’s once a night screenings from March 13th-19th at Laemmle Glendale, located at 207 N Maryland Ave in Glendale, California.
