Swedish musician Thomas Nyholm, under the moniker of Islandrocks, creates these insanely good cover versions of exploitation, cult classic theme songs, such as City of the Living Dead (1980), Suspiria (1977), The New York Ripper (1982), Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979) and Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. (1990).
All music is arranged & performed by Thomas Nyholm; with each theme covered in a different style/genre. However, it was the medley ‘Fulci Funk’, or perhaps even more fitting, the ‘Frizzi Funk‘, that attracted me to the sound of Islandrocks.
